Behaviour Transform Programme

"Helping young people stay engaged in education"

Our Founder & Director – Martin Sinclair

Martin Sinclair is a highly skilled Behaviour Change Integrative Therapist with over 25 years of experience working with young people across a range of educational and therapeutic settings. His expertise in behaviour change therapy has helped countless students overcome emotional and behavioural obstacles, allowing them to successfully reintegrate into education and build positive futures.

Having worked extensively in primary, secondary, and special education, Martin understands the unique challenges faced by students at every stage of development. His holistic and compassionate approach ensures tailored interventions that address not just behaviour, but also emotional resilience, social integration, and mental well-being.

Driven by his commitment to preventing permanent exclusion and enhancing student outcomes, Martin established Behaviour Transform Programme to provide high-impact 1-to-1 support and group therapy, helping young people thrive in their learning environments.

His extensive experience is centred on supporting pupils with diverse needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD) and Global Developmental Delay (GDD), to achieve behaviour improvements.

Supporting Successful Transitions from PRUs to Mainstream School

What We Do

At Behaviour Transform, we specialise in preparing children for a successful return to mainstream education after permanent exclusion.

Many children placed in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) face a significant challenge: while PRUs provide a necessary interim placement, they often lack the specialist expertise needed to address the root causes of behavioural issues. As a result, pupils may return to mainstream school without the therapeutic support they need to change their behaviour, leading to a high risk of repeat exclusion.

Unfortunately, following a second permanent exclusion, pupils are no longer eligible to return to mainstream school — severely limiting their future opportunities.

This is where Behaviour Transform can help.

We provide targeted Behaviour Change Therapy designed to equip children with the emotional, social, and behavioural tools they need to thrive in a mainstream setting. Our approach is evidence-informed and focused on achieving long-term success for every child.

Every pupil who takes part in our programme will receive:

  • A professionally written behavioural analysis suitable for submission to the Fair Access Panel — a critical step in the mainstream reintegration process.
  • Expert recommendations on behavioural interventions to support a smooth, sustainable transition.
  • Ongoing communication and support.
  • Bespoke tool kits.

Our goal is simple: to give every child the best chance of success by addressing behaviour at its roots and creating real, lasting change.

Our Services

We offer a range of bespoke services designed to meet the unique needs of students and schools with early intervention and exclusion reduction being paramount:

Persistent Disruptive Behaviour Group Programme

The Persistent Disruptive Behaviour Programme is a structured, multi-stage intervention designed to support children in understanding and reshaping their behavioural patterns. This programme creates a collaborative and safe environment where participants can explore their thoughts, broaden their perspectives, and take meaningful steps toward change.

This intervention is designed to empower children by fostering self-reflection, resilience, and lasting behavioural change. Through thoughtful engagement, exploration, and structured planning, participants leave the programme equipped with the tools to navigate challenges and contribute positively to their environments. Groups of 2-4 or 6 depending on the severity of behaviour.

Behaviour Change Therapy

At Behaviour Transform Programme, our 1-to-1 therapy sessions utilise behaviour change therapy techniques to engage and empower young people who are at risk of permanent exclusion. Behaviour Change Therapy is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that helps students explore their behaviours and find intrinsic motivation to change, rather than simply being told what to do. This intervention is useful for a host of difficulties for example, young people who are non-compliant, display aggressive behaviour and are often absent from the classroom setting.

Proven Impact & Positive Outcomes

At Behaviour Transform Programme, we pride ourselves on delivering tangible results that improve young people’s behaviour and overall engagement in education. For the Academic Year of 2024/2025 Behaviour Transform has worked with a total of 15 students.

  • 20% (3 students) experienced a total transformation, showing a complete shift in behaviour and successfully reintegrating into school life.
  • 60% (9 students) showed noticeable to significant improvements, demonstrating positive behavioural change and increased engagement in education.
  • 13% (2 students) are continuing to address their behaviour, actively working towards meaningful progress.
  • 7% (1 student) disengaged from the intervention, highlighting the challenges some students face in their journey toward change.

These results demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach, showing how structured interventions, therapeutic support, and collaborative partnerships with schools help young people thrive.

Partnering with Schools for a Positive Learning Environment

Our commitment extends beyond individual interventions—we actively collaborate with schools to build a supportive framework that prevents exclusions and fosters a healthy school culture. Through tailored partnerships, we help educators implement effective behaviour management techniques, strengthening staff-student relationships and promoting inclusivity in learning environments.

By working together, we create a holistic approach that empowers students, enhances well-being, and supports schools in maintaining positive educational outcomes.
